SAN SHOU AND MMA TRAINING (LEVELS 2 to 5)
Contact level: HIGH, HEADSHOTS
Age: 18 years and older
Prequisites: Passing score on Level 2 Test, 10 hours of Light Sparring
Required Wear: Clean Cung Le or USH T-shirt, USH shorts
Required Gear: Towel, 16 oz boxing gloves, headgear, knee pads, shinguards, mouthpiece, men's protective cup
Training is geared towards knowledge, technique, and defensive skills. Students prepare for fighting in competition and develop confidence and self-defense abilities. Instruction focuses on thai pad training, parrying drills, boxing, takedown drills, wrestling, Muay Thai, MMA (mixed martial arts), ground and pound, positioning, escapes, BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu), and sparring. Students are tested for higher levels as they progress. Level ranking range from 2 to 5.
